Our Story
When Linda's father (Adam's grandfather), Ira, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, he was encouraged to journal every day. His journaling led to the writing of his first book. Once the book was written, he was, at the ripe old age of 82, determined to publish and sell his book. Wanting to help him realize his dream, Halstead Bay Books was established.
A long time educator and teacher librarian, editing came naturally to Linda. With Adam's artistic talents and graphic design expertise, he became vital in supporting with cover design and website development to offer a bit of media presence. We knew full well that this book was not likely going to sell millions of copies, but investigated and discovered affordable printers and went through the lengthy process of becoming an Amazon seller.
